Cyfeillion Swtan (Friends of Swtan) is a charitable company whose sole purpose is to manage, run, maintain and promote Swtan as a folk museum and heritage centre. Cyfeillion Swtan is a private limited company of volunteer trustees, supported by volunteers from the local community, which leases the cottage from the National Trust.

The land on which Swtan is built is owned by the National Trust, and the Trust provides practical support for which Cyfeillion Swtan is grateful. However, Swtan is not a National Trust property, and National Trust membership does not entitle individuals to free entry to Swtan.

As part of our fundraising and promotional activity we hold two or more cultural events every year, normally promoting country crafts and craftspeople as well as local musicians.

In a small organisation such as ours more support in running the museum and the events is always welcome, so if you share our vision of keeping a little of the past alive, why not get in touch?
